The Ogden Police Department is looking for the driver of a pickup truck that struck and killed a 16-year-old skateboarder last month and has released a photo of the vehicle.

Joseph Martinez, of Ogden, was hit at approximately 10:30 p.m. Nov. 1 in the area of 200 W. 17th St. The driver stopped, got out of the truck and then fled, police say.

Sometime later, police say a second vehicle hit the boy at 11:43 p.m. That driver, a 43-year-old man, stayed on the scene and notified police.

The driver of the first vehicle is described as a Latino man approximately 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-8 and most likely in his 20s. He was driving an older model single cab Chevy or GMC pickup.

The vehicle appears to be light-colored and possibly has aftermarket rims. In addition to a photo from a security camera in the area, police have released a photo that is similar to the truck but not the actual vehicle.

Anyone with information about the crash or who has seen the vehicle is asked to call Odgen police at 801-629-8634.
